Cardi B, Lebron James & Hollywood Stars Lead Online Protest for George Floyd

The shocking death of an African American man, George Floyd, has sparked new outrage barely weeks after the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

US top black celebrities have spearheaded yet another online protest in response to the death of George Floyd, an African American man believed to be in his 40s.

Videos shot by witnesses emerged on Tuesday night showing four Minneapolis policemen holding down the deceased Floyd. One of the officers held the already cuffed man on the ground with his knee as he pleaded, “Your knee in my neck. I can’t breathe… Mama. Mama”. Floyd was pronounced dead a few hours later in a hospital.

Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, has since announced the sack of the four policemen involved in the incident as investigations begin in earnest.

Leading on the list of online protesters include Nas, Cardi B, Lebron James, David Oyelowo, Ciara, Meek Mill, Diddy among others.
