The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has condemned Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis for threatening not to sign African players.
Recently, De Laurentiis vowed never to sign African players unless they agree to sign a contract that they will not play at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
According to the Napoli boss, it was unfair for European clubs to keep paying salaries to such players while representing other interests.
But in a statement, CAF called on Europe’s governing body, UEFA, to take disciplinary action against De Laurentiis.
