Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy create history by announcing his 2023 Love, Damini London Stadium performance, making him the first-ever African artist to headline a stadium in the UK.
Oluwa-Burna, whose song “Alone” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is heralding at No. 1 on the Official Afrobeats Chart, will perform at the London stadium on Saturday, June 3, 2023, promising a “legendary” show.
It will be noted as his largest solo audience to date, with a crowd capacity of 60,000 at the West Ham Football Club’s home ground next summer.
Taking to his twitter official page to announce the news, Burna says:
“London Stadium is going to be my fairground! I’ve been told that I couldn’t achieve anything because of where I came from, I hope this can show people that when you have a dream it doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, your dream can come true.
“This is going to be legendary, it’s history and I can’t wait for you all to be a part of that.”
Recently, Burna played headline shows to sold-out crowds at Wembley Arena, in November 2019, and at The O2 Arena, in London in August 2021.
Meanwhile it is noted that Burna Boy’s London Stadium show is in partnership with promoters Robomagic Live and Coko Bar; the latter being the leading independent promoter for all top African artists who perform throughout Europe.
The tickets for Burna Boy’s Love, Damini London Stadium Show 2023 will be available from 10:00AM GMT Friday November 25.
