Omar Jimenez, the Black CNN reporter who was arrested by Minneapolis police officers, alongside his camera crew have been released.

Jimenez and his crewmen were released a few minutes ago from the Hennepin County Public Safety facility in downtown Minneapolis, CNN reports.

The recently released reporter has also shared his side of the ordeal.

Jimenez’ arrest which was filmed live occurred at about 5 am local time as Jimenez was reporting an arrest near the city police department that had been burned down by protesters the day before.

Despite offering a valid means of identification, the officials picked up the four-man crew (including Jimenez).
