An air plane carrying over 100 passengers including crew members has crashed near an airport in Karachi, Pakistan.

Videos on social media show huge billows of smoke rising into the air from the crash site. The wreckage and some houses appear to be on fire and emergency services are currently at the scene.

There was no immediate information on casualties.
