Report coming in says local government officials in Nimba County including Superintendents, Commissioners, City Mayors and Town Chiefs are now meeting in Ganta City to pledge their support to the re-election bid of President George Weah and Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor.
According to information gathered, the local officials are expected to sign and pledge their support to the Second-term bid of the Liberian Leaders as it results of the Liberian leader many developmental initiative being carried out in Nimba.
African Entertainment News (AEN) has also gathered that the officials were scheduled to converged in Monrovia to meet President Weah, but was later scheduled in Ganta where they are now gathering at the Peace Empire Hotel to announce their decision.
However, this laste endorsement, once done will be a big boost to President Weah whose ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) suffered a major blow ahead of the crucial October 10 elections after it lost the support of Senator Prince Y. Johnson to the opposition Unity Party (UP).
