Babyface Mourns Andre Harrell


American singer, Babyface, has paid tribute to US media executive, Andre Harell.

Harell died on Friday, May 8, 2020.

Two days later, Babyface shared a video on Twitter, performing a short, emotionally-charged song in his honor.

In the two-minutes-four-seconds song, Babyface recounted how Harell always “used to smile” and always “told the truth.”

He opened the song with a special Mother’s Day wish to all mothers around the world and an announcement of the postponement of the Update on Waiting to Exhale’s Mother’s Day Special.

He observed how he can’t get through the pains from the death of “my dear friend, Andre Harell,” disclosing that “you thought me to me.”

The revered music executive credited for discovering talents like Diddy and Mary J. Blige died at age 59.

Former Uptown Records founder and CEO, Andre Harrell has died from a heart attack.

The rapper and music executive tragically passed away on Friday May 8 as confirmed by Variety.

Popular DJ D-Nice also confirmed the news via an Instagram live session on Friday night.

Andre is survived by his partner, Wendy Credle and their son, Gianni Credle-Harrell.
