Superstar singer Ayra Starr has been crowned the top female artist in Nigeria for 2024, as announced by TurnTable, Nigeria’s leading music chart publication. This achievement reflects her huge success on streaming platforms, radio, and TV airplay throughout the year.

The 22-year-old singer had a standout year, thanks to her second album, The Year I Turned 21. The album featured collaborations with big Nigerian stars like Asake and Seyi Vibez, as well as international artists like Giveon, Coco Jones, and Aniita. It became one of the most celebrated albums of 2024.
Her hit songs ‘Comma’ and ‘Bad Vibes’ (featuring Seyi Vibez) were among the year’s most streamed tracks. Additionally, her guest appearance on Rvssian’s ‘Santa’ boosted her streams, helping her album achieve over 700 million plays on Spotify, making it the most streamed album of the year in Nigeria.
Ayra Starr ended the year with a memorable performance at the Flytime Fest, where she shared the stage with music legends Tiwa Savage and Rema.
