American Soul Singer, Betty Wright dies at age 66

The Grammy award-winning Tonight is the Night crooner has passed away after a short battle with cancer. 

Betty Wright, one of America’s most influential soul singers from the 70s has died. According to multiple news outlets, Wright passed away on Sunday, in her Miami home after being diagnosed with cancer in the fall.

The songstress’ family released a press statement confirming the singer’s death.

Wright was famous for 1970 hit songs like Clean Up Woman and Where is the Love.
