AKA has tendered a heartfelt apology to media personality, Sizwe Dhlomo after nearly one week of spatting on Twitter.
Following Sizwe’s Twitter jab at AKA’s failed Reebok business, the Jiva rapper went on a Twitter outburst dragging Sizwe, his grandfather and even fellow rapper, Cassper Nyovest.
In a particularly shocking tweet, AKA suggested that Sizwe’s father was an anti-apartheid spy when he tweeted, “Your grandfather is what rhymes with … Da Vinci”, a tweet which Sizwe replied with a detailed explanation of his family’s involvement in the apartheid struggle.
The time for tweets is over, only actions now… but for those interested in my family, our history with the struggle movement is very well documented. From Inkosi uAlbert Luthuli, who was friends with my grandfather. To ANC meetings at our family home. This is who we are! pic.twitter.com/8JkIeFPyEH

In a shocking swing of events, AKA took to Instagram on Friday night to tender an apology while intimating his followers on how he and Sizwe had buried the hatchet. See tweet:
I would like to apologize not to just the entire Dhlomo family but also the friends and comrades offended by my tweets last week. After educating myself properly about the sacrifices made by Sizwe’s grandfather and others close to him, I realize how reckless and stupid that was.

Myself & @SizweDhlomo have ironed out all our issues and from here on out … we straight. We realized we go too far back for things to be this way. Doesn’t mean we won’t disagree from time to time but that’s how it’s gonna be.

Since AKA’s apology, Twitter ZA has been on fire with users calling out AKA’s volatile behaviour. See some tweets:

He does this everytime he goes on a rampage insulting people's family members. He's not sincere at all

An apology like this – which takes full responsibility for poor decisions – takes courage.
Hope this ends well for everyone involved.— Karyn Maughan (@karynmaughan) May 23, 2020
