Sports wear manufacturing firm, Adidas, has donated 2,700 pairs of shoes and tops to nurses and other health workers in South Africa.
The donation was made specifically to frontline healthworkers in Gauteng and Kwazulu-Natal.
That was after an official handing over ceremony in Cape Town on Monday, May 25.
Present at the handing over ceremony were South African Government officials including Premier Alan Winde, Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais and The Health Foundation SA.
According to General Manager of Adidas South Africa, the healthworkers deserve the items because of the tireless work they put into saving lives during the pandemic.
