Former Skipper of the Blacks Stars, Joe Addo, has revealed that the likes of Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah and Ali Ibrahim never took their winning bonuses when they played for the Black stars.
According to him, the trio who were then the only professionals in the Black stars squad decided to let go their bonuses.
He was speaking in an interview with Accra-based radio station, JoyFM on Saturday, May 2.
In the interview monitored by African Entertainment, he said in addition, the trio paid the local players on Black Stars at the time from their own pocket to motivate them.
Pele had a glittering football career and led the Stars into several matches at the continental level.
