In a move that signals a New era of discipline and focus at Manchester United, newly-appointed boss Ruben Amorim has introduced a stringent new rule to govern player behavior during international breaks.
The Portuguese tactician, known for his no-nonsense approach, has decreed that players will no longer be allowed to use international breaks as an excuse for extra holidays.
“We need to make sure that our players are using their breaks to rest and recharge, rather than traveling long distances,” Amorim explained.
Amorim’s move has been welcomed by former Manchester United player Gary Neville, who had criticized Rashford and Casemiro’s trips, questioning whether they were the best way to recharge during a difficult time for the club.
“I think it’s a great move by Ruben Amorim,” Neville said. “Players need to be disciplined and focused, especially during international breaks. It’s not about restricting their freedom, but about making sure they’re doing what’s best for the team.”
Amorim’s new rule is just one part of a broader effort to shake things up at Manchester United. The Portuguese tactician has also revealed plans to simplify communication with his players, prohibiting complex instructions that can’t be explained in a single sentence.
“I want my players to be clear about what’s expected of them,” Amorim explained. “We need to be able to communicate quickly and effectively, especially during games.”
