Davido’s fans will have to wait a little longer for his forthcoming fifth album, “5IVE”. The album, initially set to drop on March 15, 2025, has been postponed to April 18, 2025. The year 2025 has already been kind to Davido, with a fifth Grammy nomination under his belt. He was recognized for Best African Song Performance for his contribution to Chris Brown’s track “Sensational” at the 67th Grammy Awards.

In anticipation of the album’s release, Davido has dropped two singles: “Awuke”, featuring Jamaican Dancehall artist YG Marley, and “Funds”, featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck.
The acclaimed artist has characterized the album as a deeply personal project, stating that it’s “straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth.”
The album is expected to include a collaboration with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay, who has described their song as an ideal partnership.
Adekunle Gold has also hinted at a potential guest appearance on the album. With the success of his record-breaking fourth album “Timeless”, Davido and his fans are hoping for another hit.
