Katy Perry is getting ready for her first concert tour in seven years, The Lifetimes Tour, but she’s quick to credit her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, for being a constant source of support. Despite their busy schedules, the couple makes their relationship a priority and has found ways to truly show up for one another.
“We really understand and support each other,” Katy shared in an exclusive chat with E! News. “I’m preparing for this big world tour, and he totally gets it. It’s like when he’s filming movies, which can be even more physically and mentally intense than touring.”
For Katy, 40, who shares 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Orlando, their partnership isn’t just about support—it’s about staying grounded. “Having a family to come home to gives me a sense of identity beyond being ‘Katy Perry’ or making music,” she said. “I’m proud of what I’ve created, and the time I’ve spent away from the spotlight has been really grounding.”
The couple also focuses on maintaining balance in their day-to-day lives. Katy highlighted the importance of understanding each other’s love languages. “Knowing your partner’s love language helps you feel more connected,” she explained. “One of mine is acts of service. I love taking care of people and making sure everyone’s happy—it brings me joy to see others joyful.”
As Katy’s tour kicks off on May 7 in Houston, Texas, she’s confident her family will join her for parts of the journey. “Orlando’s super busy, but I’m sure they’ll come out for different sections of the tour,” she shared.
