Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Chibuike Alfred, also known as Josh2Funny, has shared how he deals with negative comments online and how he balances work with family.
In an interview with Punch Newspaper’s Saturday Beats, Josh2Funny said he doesn’t let internet trolls or cyberbullying affect him. Instead, he focuses on the positive feedback from people who enjoy his jokes.
“I don’t pay attention to negative comments,” he said. “I only focus on those who enjoy my comedy, and that keeps me going. Some people even come to my DMs to criticize my jokes, but that’s fine. I know not everyone will like what I do.”
Josh2Funny, who has been making people laugh for over 10 years, said his goal is to spread happiness. “I just want to make people happy, and that’s what matters to me,” he added.
He also talked about being a father and husband, explaining how he ensures his family life isn’t affected by his work.
“Being a father comes with responsibilities, but I don’t see them as challenges,” he said. “When I’m home, I focus on being a father and husband. When I’m at work, I give it my all. It’s a beautiful experience, and I always try to stay positive. I love spending time with my kids when I’m not working.”
Josh2Funny added that his two-year-old child even enjoys his jokes and tries to copy them. He said, “I make sure my comedy is clean and family-friendly. I’m proud to be a father, and it’s a joy seeing my child love what I do.”
