K1 De Ultimate Refuses to Apologize to Islamic Clerics Over Controversial Remark

Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate, has refused to apologize to Islamic clerics (Alfas) after making a controversial remark during his late mother’s Fidau prayer. The comment, which many found offensive, was made while K1 was preparing for the 8-day Fidau prayer.

In a video clip, K1 used the phrase “Ganusi” to refer to certain Islamic clerics, suggesting that some Alfas attend such ceremonies mainly for financial gain. The Fidau prayer, an important Islamic ritual, took place on Friday, January 24, and was attended by notable celebrities and respected clerics.

Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa, who delivered the sermon, addressed K1’s comment and urged the musician to apologize to the Alfas. However, K1 has stood his ground, insisting that he has done nothing wrong and refusing to issue an apology.

K1 explained his stance, stating that admitting guilt would imply that the accusations are true, which they are not. He maintained that he has done nothing wrong and sees no reason to apologize.
