Nigeria is working towards appointing an ex-coach of FC Porto and Sporting Lisbon as the new coach of Super Eagles.
African Entertainment understands that the Nigeria Football Federation has already agreed terms with Jose Peseiro to take charge of Super Eagles.
Mr. Peseiro, aged 62-year-old, resigned as Venezuela coach in August 2021 due to unpaid wages.
He was previously named as Nigeria coach in December 2021 and was expected to take over the Super Eagles after the Africa Cup of Nations.
Peseiro, who has reportedly been headhunted by Nigeria Football Federation President rejected the Super Eagles job in February 2022 citing disagreements over contractual clauses and financial matters.
