$400,000 Found At Pakistan Airplane’s Crash Site


Millions of Indian rupees are reported to have been fund at crash site of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK8303.

The carrier, it would be recalled, crashed on May 22, 2020, just outside the Karachi Airport, Pakistan.

Of the 99 people (89 passengers and eight crew) onboard the Airbus A320, two passengers survived the accident, with 11 people reportedly injured on the ground.

And reports say the team of investigators and rescuers working at the crash site have recovered over 30 million Indian rupees (about $400,000) in cash in the wreckage of the Airbus A320.

According to reports, the amount, in various currencies, was found in two separate bags.

An official is believed to have informed the Press Trust of India that “an investigation has been ordered into how such a huge amount of cash got through airport security and baggage scanners and found its way into the ill-fated flight.”

Reports say
preliminary elements reveal that the aircraft, with its gears retracted, attempted a belly landing.
