Fresh reports reaching us carry the disheartening news that Nigerian Afropop singer, Tekno might face a copyright infringement lawsuit. According to the reports, Tekno’s latest track Jogodo which adopts the lines and melody of Danfo Driver’s 2003 hit song Kpolongo was released without the permission of the musical duo.
In a video currently trending, Mad Melon and Mountain Black (Danfo Drivers) were filmed saying that Tekno did not get their permission before making a remix of their song or even bother to reach out to them. They claimed to have returned to Lagos to address the situation. They did not reveal if they would be suing Tekno but from all indication, a lawsuit is definitely looming.
