MI Drags American Rapper, Nas to Court For Breach of Contract

Nigerian rap king, MI and his record label, Chocolate City have filed a lawsuit against American/Nigerian rap legend, Nas for allegedly breaching a contract agreement.

According to details of the lawsuit filed in New York State Supreme Court, Chocolate City is accusing the Queenbridge star of not fulfilling his end of a music deal after being contracted in 2013 and paid a total of $50,000 to deliver a verse in a song by MI.

Details reveal that Nas was supposed to deliver his lines and mention “M.I, Chocolate City, Nigeria, Queens, New York—NAS’s hometown—, Mandela, Trayvon Martin, and the struggles of Africans and African Americans” but he (Nas) delivered the verse without the above listed.

The record label and MI, however asked that Nas re-record the verse and till date, the American rapper and his label have not responded or produced another version hence the lawsuit.
