If you are unaware of the military implications of the gruesome murder of Captain Maxwell Mahama then gospel singer Dr Sonnie Badu’s post might not make much sense to you. A retaliation that would have caused the wipe out of the entire village of Diaso (Central Region) would have been the twist of event but fortunately, the reverse was the case as the Ghanaian army have maintained peace and decorum in the face of the cruelty, allowing the police to be ahead of meting out justice.
Sonnie Badu decided to share his sincere commendation on the maturity of the Ghanaian army and this was what he said “In this difficult time I want to commend the GHANA ARMED FORCES who have behaved maturely in this matter. Believe you me, with my experience as a Cadet officer in GSTS Takoradi, this could have taken a nasty turn if the military decided to retaliate. But in their pain, they choose to be quiet and allow the law to take its course.
It is my prayer that God himself heals your hearts and holds you in his arms. It shall be well with you. To the Ghana police , thank you so much for the quick update and response. It shows that Ghana is of age ..God bless our home land”!
