Becca Goes to Kumasi with “Menstrual Hygiene” Education…as over 1000 Students Respond


The Becca Hearts Foundation and Becca were in Kumasi to embark on a “Menstrual Hygiene” education which took place at the Jubilee Park; after which Accra schools such as: Police depot (Tesano police depot school, Cluster schools at Tesano) and Dansoman (St Martin Depores, Star of the Sea and Emmanuel Presbyterian School) had all taken part. Together with “Touching the Lives of Girls Foundation International”, Becca partnered to put together this initiative with a mutual aim to educate girls on female hygiene.

The day recorded over 1000 students (ranging from Ideal College, Afia Ampem Senior high school, Yaa Asantewaa Senior High School, St. Louis Senior High School, St. Louis College of Education, St. Augustine’s Primary, Asem Islamic Primary, St Peters Primary, among many others), were presented with over 2000 Royal Lady sanitary pads, over 2000 posters on feminine hygiene and many other goodies.

Aside the education she rendered, she also embarked on a media tour and capped off with a 2-hour-autograph signing session at the Kumasi City mall on Friday.

The project was supported by Zylofon Media, Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, Royal Lady Sanitary pad, Perla water etc.
