    2 Ghanaian Universities Gain Presidential Charters

    President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has awarded presidential charters to two Ghanaian universities.

    The universities – both private – include – Pentecost University College and All Nations University College.

    By the granting of the Presidential Charters on Thursday, May 28, 2020, the two universities, according to Ghana’s Information Ministry, have transitioned into autonomous universities.

    “They have, as a result, transitioned into autonomous Universities, with the capacity, now, to award their own degrees and diplomas,” the Ministry of Information says.

    President Akufo-Addo also noted in a statement that “they (Pentecost and All Nations) shall, henceforth, be known as The Pentecost University and The Nations University.”
