Manchester United is gearing up for a busy summer transfer window, and Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has emerged as a top target. The Premier League giants are looking to strengthen their attacking options after a disappointing season from current strikers Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.
Zirkzee has managed just six goals in 44 competitive appearances, while Hojlund has scored eight strikes in 39 matches. The pair’s struggles have contributed to Manchester United’s overall difficulty in the final third, with the team registering only 37 goals in 29 Premier League matches.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, has caught the attention of Manchester United with his impressive form. The Nigerian striker has racked up 26 goals in 30 appearances, including 20 strikes in 22 league games, making him the current top scorer in the Super Lig.
Although Osimhen is set to return to Napoli in the summer, he is likely to depart on a permanent basis ahead of the 2025/26 season. Manchester United will face stiff competition from other top clubs, but Osimhen’s impressive form makes him a prime target.
